Turning “Ugh” into “Aha!”

Who’s this guy?

Educator,

Instructional Design

With a background in informal education and a growing body of work in digital learning environments, I design experiences that prioritize clarity, engagement, and actual learning. My instructional designs are research-informed but never cookie-cutter. My lessons are so intuitive that even your boss who still prints emails could navigate them.

Learning Experience Design

Most people think learners need 47 modules, 23 assessments, and a final project that requires a PhD to complete. They’re wrong. Learners need clarity, engagement, and maybe a chuckle or two. Your great-grandpa learned his entire trade from a gruff supervisor that told him “don’t die”, and he turned out fine! Well, mostly fine.

Data-Informed Instruction

I don’t just design, I measure. Using analytics, feedback, and a healthy respect for what spreadsheets can reveal, I refine instructional materials based on how real users engage with them. My goal is continuous improvement, not just completion.

Technology Integration

I bridge the gap between tech tools and real-world application. From LMS administration to immersive digital content, I focus on making technology support instruction, not the other way around. At the University of Alabama, I help faculty use data and design to make smarter, more humane learning environments.
